Yvette received her MBA from Harvard Business School and BS in Electrical Engineering from Cal State University, Northridge.
After graduating from HBS, Yvette led the HBS Alumni Circle (inspired by GSB Circles), worked on Community Partners projects, and served on the HBS Club of the GCC Board of Directors. She collaborated in writing HBS cases focused on real estate finance. Yvette has personally met with admissions officers at 25 of the top MBA programs in the US and has built an extensive network of MBAs worldwide, through which she keeps abreast of the experiences of current MBA students and alumni.
Yvette’s career choices have spanned the tech sector, where she focused on new product/startup launch and adoption of new tech (including generative AI, algorithmic processes, and risk improvement) at Fortune 100 companies. Her career also included a residency in Dubai, where she successfully built a real estate services company (acquired), aided a sovereign wealth fund, and launched the “Grubhub” of the Middle East. Additionally, she has held positions at Deloitte Consulting, Fannie Mae, and UBS Investment Bank in NYC.
Born in Los Angeles, Yvette has chosen roads less traveled and nudged norms around the globe. Her childhood in Mexico City and travels around Europe made the world seem more accessible, triggering her desire to do business internationally.
Yvette has been advising a select number of MBA applicants each season since 2014 with Stacy Blackman Consulting.
