DeeDee served as the Assistant Director of MBA and Masters in Finance Admissions at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she sat on the Admissions Committee and recruited, evaluated, and interviewed candidates domestically and internationally. DeeDee holds a Masters in English literature from the University of Maryland and an Ed.D. in Learning, Leadership and Organization Development from the University of Georgia.
In her 6+ years with SBC, she has helped many of her clients secure admits (and dual admits) to HBS, GSB, and Wharton, as well as MIT and other Top 10 MBA programs. Additionally, she has successfully guided clients applying to masters programs in finance and business analytics, Executive MBA and 1-year MBA programs in the U.S. and globally, and deferred admissions programs.
What DeeDee enjoys most is helping her clients realize their full potential through rigorous and introspective evaluation. She is a passionate advocate for quality education and has worked in higher education for almost 30 years, including 12 years at MIT. She also taught college-level English composition and literature, managed a battered women’s shelter, and developed educational technology platforms while working at MIT Sloan.
Outside of these professional pursuits, DeeDee has earned a second degree black belt in kenpo karate and has studied aikido, hapkido, judo, and Brazilian jujitsu. As a resident of Athens, GA, she has served on the Boards of Athens PRIDE and Live Forward (an AIDS service organization), chaired the University of Georgia’s LGBTQ faculty/staff organization, and was a member of the Dean’s DE&I Advisory Council at the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
