Columbia Announces 2010-2011 Deadlines
Here are the deadlines for the upcoming admissions cycle at Columbia Business School, which provides the option of enrolling in either September or January. Students who enroll in September may consider an internship option after their first year of studies.
Students who do not want or need an internship can begin their MBA studies in January and take their second term during the summer. As CBS explains, a January start may be ideal for students who wish to remain in the same industry after graduation or pursue entrepreneurial interests.
As a reminder, Columbia Business School uses a rolling admissions process. Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received, and decisions can be rendered at any point during the review period. It is always to your benefit to apply before the posted deadline.
January 2011 Accelerated Program (No Internship)
Application Review Period Begins: May 2010
Decision Period: Within 8 weeks
Application Deadline: October 6, 2010
September 2011 Early Decision
Application Review Period Begins: August 16, 2010
Decision Period: Within 10 weeks
Application Deadline: October 6, 2010
*Merit Fellowship Consideration Deadline: January 5, 2011
September 2011 Regular Decision (International Applicants)
Application Review Period Begins: January 5, 2011
Decision Period: Within 12 weeks
Application Deadline: March 2, 2011
September 2011 Regular Decision (U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents)
Application Review Period Begins: January 5, 2011
Decision Period: Within 12 weeks
Application Deadline: April 13, 2011

CBS will begin evaluating complete* January and September Early Decision applications upon submission.
