Darden’s Dean Bruner on Financial Crisis
The New York Times yesterday profiled dean Robert Bruner of Darden School of Business as he discussed his latest book, “The Panic of 1907: Lessons Learned from the Market’s Perfect Storm,” and how students can benefit from studying financial meltdowns.
In an interview with Dana Mattioli, Bruner says the current crisis provides a cautionary tale in ethics, risk, pay and the role business schools play in disseminating Wall Street practices.
Check out the interview to read Bruner’s thoughts on what lessons students–and business schools–can take can away from the current crisis, whether the blame placed on B-schools is warranted, and if Wall Street will learn a lesson, too, or revert to its pre-crisis ways.
